Image library
Mission Val de Loire makes its image collection, comprising over 3,500 images, available to the public. Most are under a public Creative Commons licence.
Images have always played an important role in Mission Val de Loire’s projects, whether through photography (documentary or artistic) or the use of old images used for research and showcasing.
An image management tool and method were developed alongside measures aimed at encouraging a new perspective of the Loire Valley (exhibition, photographic observatory of the landscape, artist residency) for the 20th anniversary of the inscription.
After several years of work, Mission Val de Loire decided to make its image collection - currently comprising more than 3,500 images and still growing - publicly accessible.
