Hiring exhibitions

Between 2006 and 2020, Mission Val de Loire produced a dozen exhibitions about the Loire Valley heritage and landscapes. From Loire rivercraft and the perspectives of contemporary artists to means of crossing and the art of gardens, these exhibitions delve into themes that are specific to the Loire Valley, from different angles, at once historical and contemporary.

These exhibitions are intended to:

• Illustrate the often forgotten or unfamiliar heritage around us, by drawing on scientific knowledge
• Provide an opportunity for cultural outreach among all audiences, with outdoor and touring exhibitions that can be hired out free of charge
• Disseminate knowledge and highlight the value of collections

The design work behind each exhibition required the setup of a committee of experts who informed and checked the scientific and cultural interest of the content put on public display.

Hiring the exhibitions

To hire and host these exhibitions, an agreement is signed between Mission Val de Loire and the partner (local authority, cultural and heritage organisation, association, etc.).

They can be hired out free of charge. Transport, installation and dismantling expenses shall be borne by the party hiring the exhibition.
